Demag Plastics Group specializes in engineering injection molding machines with clamping forces between 250 kN and 40,000 kN. Used by many thousand injection molders all over the world, Demag technology produces plastic parts made from thermoplastic, elastomer and thermoset material for a wide variety of end user industries. Typical products developed on injection molding machines include product and transit packaging, technical high-precision parts, car components and consumer goods.

In addition to this, Demag provides integrated downstream equipment such as handling devices as well as system solutions for the partially or fully automated production of complex injection molded parts. The company’s product portfolio is enhanced by a wide array of technical support and financing services related to injection molding machines.

Demag Plastics Group engineering expertise is based on a global production network with five production facilities for injection molding machines in Germany (Schwaig and Wiehe), the US (Strongsville), China (Ningbo) and India (Chennai).

In the fiscal year of 2006 (30 September), Demag Plastics Group’s 1,775 employees produced about 2,370 machines and generated a turnover of EUR 316,5m.
