The Ergotechs – Leaders from the start Demag Ergotech participated in a leading role in the development of injection moulding from its inception. In 1956, our predecessor, the Ankerwerk com-pany of Nürnberg developed the world's first single-screw injection moulding machine. Since then, we have accumulated a wealth of experience in our Schwaig plant that has been translated into new products and processes. Our associates in the Wiehe plant in central Germany have been building efficient small machines for over 30 years. Since the modernisation of its plant in 1993, Demag Ergotech Wiehe has grown to be a leading specialist for small injection moulding machines up to 1,100 kN clamping force. A successful tradition of more than 40 years in building injection moulding machines has won for Demag machines an excellent reputation on markets all over the world.
