Demag Ergotech – Germany Demag Ergotech GmbH specializes in injection molding machine engineering. At its two German facilities located in Schwaig and Wiehe, the company produces machines with clamping forces of between 250 kN and 30,000 kN. To date, Demag Ergotech has sold more than 50,000 machines to customers all over the world (based on data from 2002). Demag Plastics Group Corp. – USA Demag Plastics Group Corp., formerly Van Dorn Demag Corp., was founded in 2003 and is one of the largest US producers of injection molding machines, a substantial number of which are being operated by corporate end users all across the US. The machines come with clamping forces of between 250 kN and 40,000 kN. More than 30,000 Van Dorn machines were sold to customers in the US since 1993. L&T-Demag Plastics Machinery – India In 2001 Demag started a joint venture with Larsen & Toubro, India`s leading technology specialist. This move was a large step towards the establishment of Demag Plastics Group`s global production network. L&T-Demag focuses on the production of toggle clamp machines in the clamping range of between 500 kN and 10,000 kN for the Indian market and other selected export markets. The construction of a new plant for L&T-Demag Plastics Machinery in Chennai, which is to be completed by 2005, will step up the company`s annual production capacity to about 600 machines.
